LEICESTER are gearing up for two away meetings in the space of 24-hours.
The Watling JCB Lions head to reigning Premiership Champions Swindon on Wednesday, before travelling to Dorset to take on Poole on Thursday (7.30).
The Beaumont Park outfit are currently on a run of six straight losses and team boss Simon Stead insists his riders are working overtime behind the scenes to try and put things right.
“We’ve had some difficult defeats at home which has put even more pressure on the away performances and sadly we’re just on a run we can’t seem to snap out of at the minute,” Stead said.
“But the lads are working hard behind the scenes and they’ll be working hard again on Wednesday and Thursday to try and turn some form of corner.”
After top-scoring at Wolverhampton on Monday, local man David Howe has again been handed an opportunity at reserve with Josh Auty still sidelined,
Said Stead: “I thought David rode really well on Monday, especially seeing as it’s been a few years since he raced at that level.
“But we were really pleased with everything he did and fair play to him.”
SWINDON: Troy Batchelor, David Bellego, Adam Ellis, Tobiasz Musielak, Nick Morris, Zach Wajtknecht, Jack Smith.
